A Faerie Rade
For RICKY DAVIS life sucks. He is 11 years old, the youngest scapegoat of four foster brothers, invisible in his own home. His only true friend is MR. GARDNER, the whimsical old Irishman who lives down the lane. Ricky and his dog SANDY spend most of their days sitting in Gardner’s garden, listening to tales of faeries and wood nymphs and their battle against the evil UNSEELIE COURT.
One day, this magical world of faeries becomes all too real when Ricky is kidnapped and taken to the underground catacombs where the BIASD BHEULACK, Monster Demon of the British Isles, is hiding. There, in the bowels of Trashtown, The Biasd (Beast) plots to overthrow the forces of good by absorbing the energy of twenty innocent children.
But Ricky is more than he appears. His lessons from Mr. Gardner have armed him with the knowledge to overthrow the Biasd and escape.
He flees to Middle Earth and enlists the help of the FAILURE FAERIE. Together they organize an ancient FAERIE RADE to battle the forces of evil, rescue the children, and gain the respect of his family and small community of Appleberry.
It is a story of friendship, magic and faith. In our search for beings beyond the stars, we must not forget the most fascinating creatures still live in our own backyards.
